for us old folk can you please explain what type of telephone it is?
its a smart phone that works best for the younger crowd.
(my dad tried to use it but lasted less than 24 hours b4 going back to a BB and another dude i know says BB is WAY betteer) the droid is geared more to the tweens, teens, and teen-wanna-be’s

Can us oldies have more of a description of what it does? Also what is a smart phone?
A smartphone is almost like a palm sized computer. You can do almost anything on it- and fast. From emails, to games, to downloads, to your typical application.
Androids have some really cool downloads like a “shopping list,” bar code scanner…most of them free.
I hope that helps a bit.

A mamin: a smart phone can do more than just make phone calls and receive/send texts. It can send emails, open/read word docs, access the Internet and can also play music and lots more. Smart phones now also have add on programs called apps that range from games to clocks to references to siddurim and tehillim! Some ppl call them a gift an some ppl call them a curse because you are never unreachable so it depends for each person
