“If you’re not sure whether to vote for me or Donald Trump, then you aint black”

“Poor kids could be just as bright and just as talented as white kids”

“Barack Obama is the first clean and articulate African American”

“We gotta integrate them into society otherwise my kids are gonna grow up in a racial jungle”

Don’t forget that biden has praised a former kkk leader, and has approved of segreg\ation

First, you’re getting the quotes wrong. Second, you’re taking them wildly out of context. Third, you’re confusing mistakes in speech with policies designed to harm minority communities.

And regarding Robert Byrd (if you didn’t know, that’s who your last sentence refers to), he was a segregationist that did teshuva. He spent the last 50 years of his life repenting for his segregationist sins and working to undo the harm that he did in the 40s and 50s. This is well known. I think that deserves praise. When you see a ger tzedek or baal teshuvah who is a yieras shamayim living a Torah life do you first remind him of when he ate cheeseburgers 30 years ago?

Biden mispoke but Trump with his silence, shtika kehodoah, is advocating the white supremacists cause, where he did not condemn David Duke and by Charlotesvile, he said, both sides have good people, causing Pittsburg and California synagogue murders.

Check out what Joe Liberman says. He is probably a politician to whom we all can relate best. In a short interview that I saw recently, he both vouches that Biden is a decent centrist politician and that Trump is a useful disruptor, especially in foreign affairs.

If you want to understand what happened in Charlottesville, VA, in 2017, you have to go back read the local newspapers for the last few years.

For example, read about the city manager at the time, whose previous job was the sports reporter for the local TV station.

His subordinate, the chief of police, specifically instructed the police to “let them fight”, i.e. let the protestors and counter-protestors fight without interfering. This was confirmed by an independent study commissioned by the city council. When the study was published, the chief of police immediately resigned.

The whole mess was started by two members of the city council deciding on their own to start removing historical statues and renaming local parks. This action was taken without any kind of public referendum.

The “both sides have good people” remark was true. It was an ultra-liberals vs. conservatives issue. The white supremacists happened to be on the same side as the conservatives and moderate liberals; that didn’t invalidate that point of view.

DovidBT, it might have been true, but Trump still empowered the white supremacist leading to the synagogue murders.

“The white supremacists happened to be on the same side as the conservatives and moderate liberals”

That is a lie. Real conservatives, and moderate liberals, don’t shout, “Jews Will Not Replace Us”. And contrary to Trump, people who shout that are not “very fine people”.

Biden is not the racist candidate in this election.

I don’t blame Trump directly for the murder of Jews in Pittsburgh and Poway, but his rhetoric has made anti-Semitism acceptable as it has not been in over 50 years. And he has encouraged violence among his supporters, including the current Republican candidate for Governor of Montana who was convicted of assaulting a reporter.

Only self-hating assmilated Jews who have turned their backs on Torah could ever support Trump.

I don’t think Biden is racist in the sense that he will treat people differently based on their race, but he definitely subconsciously stereotypes all Blacks as a lower class of society.
In regards Trump I think he considers any poor person a lower type of person, not necessarily based on race.

Please refrain from engaging in the same top of lies as Biden.

The very next things out of Trumps mouths were “I am not talking about the KKK or white supremacists, they should be condemned totally”.

It is interesting that you choose to engage in something that is a blatant lie and yet accuse Trump if being the liar.

That is a lie. Real conservatives, and moderate liberals, don’t shout, “Jews Will Not Replace Us”. And contrary to Trump, people who shout that are not “very fine people”.

The issue was not about Jews or white supremacists. It was about the leftist activists attempting to erase history by renaming parks and schools and removing statues. The conservatives and moderate liberals who opposed that process were not the ones doing the offensive chanting. The fact that the dispute attracted white supremacists did not mean that the side that they were supporting was wrong. To state otherwise is an example of the classic guilt-by-association fallacy.

Only self-hating assimilated Jews who have turned their backs on Torah could ever support Trump.

That would be a true statement if you replace “Trump” with “Biden”.

    Orechdin:

Do you really think that I would care to perfectly imitate a racist comment?
I remember when we were in camp, the staff made the Nazi uniforms for the plays with the SS symbol backwards in order to make a “Shinui”. The kids, obviously, didn’t know the difference.

I wrote the basic gist of what he said and I don’t believe they were taken out of context. In fact, there really was no context because those quotes are pretty much taken from responses he gave to reporters questions’. The only one that was part of a speech was the infamous “poor kids” one which cannot be justified no matter what the context is. Frankly, none of biden’s speeches have contexts either, because they mostly consist of garbled flubs and a mixture of comments that don’t seem to have a common thread.

Regarding Byrd, that man was a racist — no question. in the 50s he apologized for his comments right before running for congress. No kidding….
Politifact, which is largely considered a reliable fact checker, stated that for Biden to refer to him as a “friend” is inappropriate and contrasted it with Trump’s association with Rosa Parks.

Regardless, Biden has shown himself to be contemptuous and arrogant when referring to minorities such as Indians and Blacks. Even the Democrats are ashamed of it.

DovidBT: “Only self hating Jews…. That would be a statement if you replace “trump” with “biden”

Haha. The statement would be even truer if you also added the words “morality” “humanity” “normalcy” “intelligence” after the word “Torah”

It’s also also entertaining to see Charliehall refer to R’ Shmuel Kamenetzky as a “self-hating assimilated Jew” and get away with it without the mods reprimanding him! I remember getting slammed by the mods for writing a comment on the Rebbe’s Shita regarding a certain topic that differed with that of another Gadol.

Perhaps the times have changed and the mods are slacking off or else they’ve been replaced….

According to Charlie the following is true

Unless you vote for a canidate that

    is

    a) Pro-choice

    b) Pro placing judges on the bench who would force a Jewish owned caterer to cater a function whose sole purpose is the celebration of ceremonies opposed to the Torah.

    c) Who has threatened Israel by stating that unless they do what the USA wants then all aid is cut off.

You are an assimilated Jew without Torah Values.

But if you vote for the candidate the assimilated Jews of the NY Times endorse then you are being pro Torah values, not ch’v pro NY TIMES values.

(Amazing how NY Times liberal values line up with authentic Torah values)

DovidBT, Charliehall did not directly refer to Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky Shlita like that as he did not mean everyone since we don’t go for bad after rov.

    R’ Eliezer,

It was me that made the comment about R’ Kaminetzky, not DovitBT.

Conversely, It was Charliehall that made the comment about assimilated Jews, not you.
It is quite interesting how one Democrat steps in for another to say what he means. Why don’t you let him speak for himself?
Could you clarify what you meant by “we don’t go for bad after rov”?
Could you explain to me how 85% of Orthodox Jews are “assimilated” and “turned their back on the Torah” according to Ami Magazine’s new poll that was posted on YW?

Trump has to be shamed into condemning the white supremacist.

    #1910465

charlie, reb eliezer, either youve publicly admitted that you get your news from the fakenews liberal media, or your blatant liars. Regarding Charlottesville, Trump literally said “im not talking about the white supremacists, or neo nazis, they should be condemned totally”. He’s condemned them countless times, and if i could post videos of him doing so, i would. You, just like the Fakenews media, are simply hoping that the average person is uninformed on these topics and will take your word for it. Will you apologize?

Trump did not condemn them then but now on Shean Hannety after being shamed into it. So you apologize.

    Reb Eiliezer,

My blood boils when I read your shameless lies (ignorance?) and outrageous accusations.
Trump has condemned white supremacism more than any other President in American history.
This past August he became the first President to declare the KKK a domestic terror organization.
At that same speech he released the following statement: “Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans. I will also prosecute the KKK and Antifa as terrorist organizations and make lynching a national hate crime.”

How is that for a new dose of (true!) information?

    #1910563

I am astounded and beyond words. How fortunate are you eliezer that I am unable (due to YWN policy) to post the many video clips of President Trump REPEATEDLY condemning white supremacy. What a shameless liar. Or maybe not. I really should be dan lkaf zchus and assume you are incredibly uninformed. For now that will be my assumption. But do some research. Understand that the narrative that President Trump “endorses white supremacy” is a FAKE, MADE UP LIBERAL TALKING POINT!

I still say there is a difference of saying, they should be condemned, and saying, I condemn, which was only said by the president recently on the Shean Hannity show.

    eliezer,

You are an unambiguous liar, and i pray that Hashem gives you the inspiration to open your eyes and acknowledge reality.

You continue to spread misinformation by falsely claiming that Trump first condemned white supremacism on the Sean Hannity show, although he had done so several times prior.
Do you not consider the statement “Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans” which Trump said early august as a condemnation?!

The “white supremacist issue” is a liberal invention. White supremacists don’t care about Torah-observant Jews. They hate the liberals who are trying force everyone to accept their viewpoints on affirmative action aka diversity, same-sex marriage, abortion on demand, etc. Liberal Jews are at the forefront of that movement, and that is why white supremacists hate Jews. If they attack an Orthodox synagogue, it’s only because it’s a conspicuous target.
