    A station that plays Easy listening instrumental music (no voices, so its not Kol Isha), not real McCoy Classical.

    There are internet radio stations that will do that for you (like radio.com and pandora)

    105.9 is nice but is strictly real McCoy Classical. Id love a station that plays more curent tunes, Broadway tunes, or old popular tunes, but with no vocals.

    Not enough demand in nyc for this. NYC is too diverse to support this. Your best bet is satellite radio or Pandora, which can afford to narrow-cast.

    I googled the words, all instrumental radio new york, and there are a lot of links for online radio. I am not sure if any of them can be picked up in the car or on your radio, though. Maybe they can.

    WQXR, 105.9 The radio station of the NYT. Strictly classical music but not always instrumental only. They do play opera occasionally.

    I should have asked what kind of instrumental music are you talking about? Classical? Jazz? Easy Listening (elevator music)?

    No Beethoven, Bach, Mozart- contemporary, (like Broadway tunes, easy listening, etc.) but no Kol Isha.

    Best best is a data phone, install pandora, plug it into the data jack in your car stereo. If you have an older car, use a device to allow your phone to output to your stereo (cassette, broadcast device.
