Non-profits that provide essential services to the community after significant natural disasters (such as a category 3 or 4 hurricane that caused severe destruction and damage) may be eligible for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) financial assistance. Applying for FEMA aid works much like applying for grant funding.

If you know of any shuls who have received FEMA aid in the past, then what essential services did your shul provide to the community after a natural disaster, like a hurricane?

    Thank you 🙂

    Isn’t praying an essential service?

Do you of any shuls who received FEMA aid for simply opening up for prayer services? That would be awesome!
