I think matzos is the most expensive bread around, yet they’re called “ha lachma “anya”. Isn’t it ironic?

I do foot the bill, and I can tell you there is so much plesure to be able to do that. Something we sould never take for granted, and while doing so we need to remember those who can’t.

i remember once making matzah on our own in the winter for fun with my siblings…. dont think it tasted anything like the matzah that I pay “big” money for from the bakery…

Ha Ha Ha Ha (& LOL laughing out loud.); You have answered your own question. “IF” we could make it ourselves?! Now. I’m not justifying the sometimes exaggerated prices for a Pound of Matzohs. But, in spite of the fact that there are only Two ingredients. Flour and water. But there are so many halachos and rules and regulations and Chumros and Minhagim, that it takes great effort to prepare the process of baking Matzohs for Pesach and you have to always be on your toes. So, a higher price is justified.

Hand gluten-free matza is $8 for a small matza…$24 for a box of 3 small ones, not enough for even the shiur during the seder for even 1 person!!!

Pesach is a Yom Tov of Chumras.

I was told Machine Shemura (Geula) was selling for $4.50 a pound in BP.

For those who want to be Machmir and get better hand matza (let alone non shemura) is only that, a chumra.

Kol Hakavod, but to be Machmir on this and therefore Mekel on other things needs a qualified Rov.
