Find the mehadrin hechsher website. There are fine fish and dairy restaurants. And Kinnar Classic hotel is mehadrin although it may be a coronavirus hotel.

Last I knew, the oilam eats at mul hayam, a restaurant off the beach near the big downtown square. Check with your lor in jlem about it.

I obviously don’t know who the author is, but if his occupation is Toirah Learning (as implied by “bein hazmanim” reference), then where did the minhag of taking vacations start? I understand that bein hazmanim in Gemorah referred to a need to go home and work the field.

Netziv was convinced by family and doctors to take a vacation on Lithuanian lakes. He ran away back home from boredom. Rav Salanter did go to the “waters”, but did not eat mehadrin on the way because he was using OPM (other people’s money). This would not apply if you earn your own money, of course.

Not to go off topic here but my rebbeim told me it’s a good idea, not to mention I’m going to have minyanim and a learning schedule. Also I guess Rav Shraga Feivel Mendelowitz never made a learning camp for a change of scenery and neither did Chaim Berlin or any other yeshiva….

Please keep all answers relevant to my question. As interesting as the topic of vacations during bein hazmanim might be, the focus of this is so that I can get some good mehadrin (not the hechsher) food during my rebbeim-sanctioned trip. Thanks

Paraphrasing OP: I’m going away and I need the hechsher hock. Please don’t turn this into hechsher hock.

Just to clarify, when you say Machpud sometimes you mean non-meat items, correct?
