It’s clear that even the most right-wing Prime Minister, Bibi Netanyahu, intends to make territorial concessions and allow the establishment of a Palestinian State with the signing of a peace agreement with the Palestinian Authority. As much as any of us may be opposed to this, this is the reality.

Considering all this, how would you suggest someone react if the Israeli Army withdrew from the settlement he lived on and handed it over to the Palestinian Authority?

    Stay. Accept Pali citizenship.

Gavra, I wouldn’t do that unless I had a death-wish, and a bad one at that… Israelis are tolerant of Arabs (unfortunately), it dosen’t work the other way ’round.

    Dovid S.:

I’m not sure, but you may be right. It depends on what it actually looks like in the end.

    “Stay. Accept Pali citizenship.”

I would seriously consider doing the same thing. It is still Eretz Yisrael and you still observe one day Yom Tov. Palestinian PM Fayyad, may he have a refuah shleimah from his recent heart attack, has publicly stated in both the Arabic and English language media that he wants Jews to be able to live freely as Palestinian citizens in a democratic free market Palestine. (And PM Fayyad seems more committed to free markets than most Israeli politicians!)

I could never imagine staying in an Arab state, even if it is in EY…The number one obligation is to preserve your life, I think staying can seriously jeopardize one’s health

Charlie, so why did the paletinians burn down the shuls the settlers left behind in Gaza? I dont care what they say in English, its what thay say in Arabic and their action what counts. Any jew who gets lost and wanders in a palestinian neighborhood faces mob linching.

charlie: Are you serious? Because I might understand now how you think Obama and other liberals are reasonable on Israel.

    “CharlieHall joined Neteurei Karta!”

I doubt many NK folks recited Hallel this past morning.

“I dont care what they say in English, its what thay say in Arabic and their action what counts.”

I agree. I note the difference between what Haniyeh, Abbas, and Fayyad say to media outlets like Al-Jazeera.

Nine US Presidents have supported Land for Peace. So have some of the greatest rabbis of my lifetime including Rav Soloveitchik z’tz’l and Rav Shach z’tz’l. (And while I’m not familiar with R’Shach’s writings, you absolutely cannot say tat The Rav was not well aware of Arab hatred and duplicity; he wrote about it in *Kol Dodi Dofeik*.)

Thank G-d that charliehall lives in these United States. He must have been hallucinating when he wrote this comment…..Fayad suddenly is the responsible person? Can you believe anything he says? The answer is simple to the OP- give nothing back!

Fayyad is a murderer…Fatah are terrorists. You support them? Remember what happened in Gush Katif? Shuls burnt down, police barbarism and brutality, greenhouses that were left for so-called “Palestinians” destroyed because Jews made them. Rockets all over, entire cities affected by trauma. You want more than that, and you wish that despicable Fayyad a refuah sheleima? Interesting…

The Arabs won’t be offering you citizenship. Abu Mazen has said many times, publicly, that a Palestinian state will be Jew-free.

Charlie, had you been in Germany, I guess you would have bought into all their lies, too. Why are you reading rhetoric? Read actions!

While we’re on it, Bush was basically the only politician to stick up for Israel daring the Lebanon war, while guys like Savage was yelling, mimicking, and complaining. Even Bush’s secretary of state was criticizing Israel. He did ‘mention’ giving up land, but was definitely not down their back sending embassy cars with cameras to take pictures.

The building freeze was under Obama, not Bush, or anyone else for that matter. It is no secret where his sympathies lie. We know what organizations he was part of. We know his true leanings. Boruch Hashem, there is enough pressure on him that he is behaving.

Do you remember how appalled everyone was that America participated in the UN convention of racism? At least this time, with the pressure felt from Congress’ reaction to Netayahu’s speech and Canada’s stance, which puts the US in a funny light, America is boycotting the silly thing.

In short: actions, not rhetoric. (Especially in the Arab world, where truth is not a virtue.)
