…and always has been. Why all the recent carping about the guys hold all the cards in shidduchim?

G-d made man, then he made woman to help him.

The entire purpose of a woman’s existence is to solve the problem of “lo tov heyos ha’odom levado”.

“Why all the recent carping about the guys hold all the cards in shidduchim?”

Because these issues have only surfaced recently. When my parents were dating, the world wasn’t so skewed in favor of the boys.

(BTW- Can’t you just tell that the OP is a man, that is such a male attitude!)

i think everyone is in favor of men because they look at them as strong and capable and able to conquer whatever comes their way.l I think however that i have seen too many men fall in and do the wrong thing that i think they are not so “great” anymore. i am still not sure however why they get kadima over girls and it bothers me greatly! (i am a girl you know after all)

I don’t agree. It’s a mans world if you decide it is.

popa i totally agree with u that a womes role in yiddishkeit is to serve her husband.

I once heard a funny joke about that.

whats a jewish womens view on the world??

p_b_a: at the time of “heyos adam levado” man and woman were still one being.

This is comparable to a man sitting in a hospital bed with a bad disease. The doctors pump him full of pain killers to ward off the pain. A healthy person standing nearby says “Its not fair that he has a higher pain tolerance now because of all that painkillers you gave him”. It is common knowledge that man’s lower spiritual level is the cause of our need for the mitzvos and by extension attributes that will help us do them.

Similarly, women’s role of serving the husband is related to the aspect of ‘mekabel’ that they personify as opposed to ‘mashpiah’ that the husband has. However, this too is to our detriment as in the “World that is All Truth” EVERYONE must be a ‘mekabel’ from HKB”H. Because of this men will have a harder time adjusting to that new reality than women.

Why did Adom ask, and Hashem create Chava?

every woman knows we let the men think they’re in charge but in reality we run the world (its part of the plot for world domination :))

    11 people on a rope

Eleven people were hanging on a rope under a helicopter

    10 men and 1 woman

The rope was not strong enough to carry them all,

so they decided that ONE had to leave,

because otherwise they were all going to fall.

They weren’t able to choose that person,

until the woman gave a very touching speech.

She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, becasue

as a woman she was used to giving up evertyhing for her husband

and kids, or for men in general, and was used to

always making sacrifices with little in return.

As soon as she finished her speech,

    all the men started clapping…….

    11 people on a rope

One day 10 men decided to get a break from their wives by hanging on a rope under a helicopter

Suddenly, they notice the 11th person…

How do men hold the cards in shiduchim? Every date takes two people saying yes and showing up. And then of course the men must drive and pay and then if they marry support the woman for the rest of their lives.

Great version of the song with Luciano Pavaroti together with James Brown

Nishtdaingesheft: I was about to point out that the OP was silly because it’s a man’s world but it ain’t nothing without a woman or a girl…
