In the upper left hand corner of the YWN homepage is a header for current date and time and you are even mindful enough to go the extra mile of including the time in Eretz Yisrael.
I would like to request adding the Jewish calendar date next to the posted secular date. Aside from a Jewish website it definitely comes in handy (like this morning when I needed to double check)
p.s.To all those that might be concerned I do already know it is Ches Teves 🙂
Thankyou and Good Shabbos!

December 24, 2012 12:05 pm at 12:05 pm #915026that1Membertrue it has little to do with this topic. its interesting that that certain days like yom kipper can not fall out on a friday (im not 100 percent sure that is true im just using it as an example). the jewish calendar thing is a good idea
December 24, 2012 2:43 pm at 2:43 pm #915027NechomahParticipantThat1, Of course it is true that YK cannot fall out on a Friday. The whole business of “cannot fall out” throughout the calendar is because the first day of Rosh Hashanah cannot fall out on ? ? ?, meaning Sunday, Wednesday or Friday. Because of that requirement, YK cannot be on a Tuesday, Friday or Sunday. After that, depending on how many days of Rosh Chodesh Kislev and Teves has, that will determine how the rest of the calendar falls out for each given year.
December 24, 2012 4:24 pm at 4:24 pm #915028arcParticipantches Teves CAN fall out on a Thursday. In fact it will next year.
