In the wake of the President’s nomination of Chuck Hagel as defense secretary, numerous Jewish orginizations released comments to the press stating their opinion on the matter.
As a reminder, Hagel, among other quotes, has called for an end of the Israeli lobby in Washington, stated that Israel keeps the Palestinians locked up “like animals”, and as senator from Nebraska, has refused to meet Jewish constituents.
