According to the S”A and M”B, one should have a kezayis of matzah from the top matzah, 2 kezeisim of matzah from the middle matzah (one from the smaller half for mitzvas matzah and one from the larger half for the afikoman), and one kezayis from the bottom matzah (for koreich). What should one do if there isn’t enough matzah in the three matzahs of the baal haseder to give everyone present? Should everyone have three matzos in front of them and make their own berachos? Should everyone have three matzos in front of them and be yotzei with the berachos of the baal haseder? Should the baal haseder hold on to as many matzos as he needs (in addition to the three matzos) when making the berachos? Should he just hold on to his three matzos but have in mind to give to everyone from other matzos, even though he’s not holding them at the time of the berachah?
Rev SHlomo zalman auerbach in halichos shlomo chapter 9 says that from the top matzah which the achila is because of hamotzie only the mevarech has to eat a kzayis and the middle one each guy should get a piece of the ke’ara matzah togethor with a kezayis of another matzah.
