ihear: just wondering – what did you hear about the learning in the kolel itself. Because you forgot to mention anything at all about that.

I met the guy who runs the high school there, once, when I was shopping at Albertson’s in Seattle. He was a nice enough guy, and we shmoozed for a few minutes. Then I got my sandwich from the deli and ate it all up.

Some things go without saying … If one is going to kollel in a foreign country isn’t it obvious that before he uproots himself and family from his homeland and goes into the middle of Spain that the learning is good if not amazing otherwise he can just go and get a job there if he just likes the place and the weather ??but he would probably find Hawaii more to his liking … Don’t u think ??

and goes into the middle of Spain

Excuse me:- Gibraltar as well as the Falkland Island are 100% British.

May all learning at the Kollel in Gibraltar be a Zechus for Margaret Thatcher O’H. After the Falklands war, Spain was too scared to even contemplate invading Gibraltar. Kudos to Margaret Thatcher O’H.

They make very nice subs there. I don’t remember what I put on it. I may have gotten sushi also. Yes, I think I did.

I don’t know why everyone here has become so misrable and sarcastic! No wonder so many good people have left the Coffee Room. You should all practice AHAVAT CHINUM rather than to be known, chas ve shalom, for Sinas Chinum!

All the kosher food in Gibralter is imported, especially the meat comes from London. All the shops that are owned by Yidden (98% are owned by Yidden) are shomer shabbos and can be found on the main street.

The Kollel is an excellent one and there are many ex Gibraltarians living in London. It is worth to call the Sephardi Beth Din in London and speak to their Dayanim, whom can advise you more easily.

Much Hatzlacha in all that you do!

I dunno, but probably a simple one like tuna avacado. or salmon avacado.

Then we bough Moose Drool (it’s a beer from Montana)
