“Kosher” Ice Skating Show in Brooklyn

There is an ad on the Home Page of YWN for a live theatric performance of “The Silver Skates” at the Master Theatre on Brighton Beach Avenue in Brooklyn in March. Apparently, this performance group from EY consists entirely of girls and women and their shows are for women only. The brief video of the production show an incredibly talented group of singers, dancers, gymnasts performing a play based on an old Hans Brinker tale that take place in Holland. For those who have never been to an ice skating competition, Disney on Ice or other ice skating shows t (the costumes are not especially tziniusdik), this would seem to be a great opportunity to take the family (sorry, girls only) to what appears to be a truly professional production that will move on to several European cities after its NYC tour. While they use simulated ice skates, it looks very real.
