has anyone stayed there recently? how are the accommodations?
I have.
Its a little run down, but you can see that at one point (maybe 15 years ago)it was a really nice place.
Crowd can be a real mixed bag. Shabbos Nachmu will probably get a huge singles / moshav band / carelbach kind of mix. I think 8th day is in concert this motzio shabbos, so it should be a nice scene.
Did you consider Raleigh? Its a bit more fancy (think: BP shmaltzy) and gets a more chassidisheh crowd.
Food at either place is standard kosher catering food. (Micheal Schick, its not)
A friend of mine that’s divorced, told me they’re trying to make another singles event in Kutshers shabbos Nachmu that has a more chareidi crowd.
He asked me if it pays for him to go, given the past singles events were to a much more modern crowd. Told him to err on the side of caution.
Does anyone have info about the type of crowd?
Or is anyone here more yeshivish or heimish, going?
He’s still on the fence.
Anyone? I guess i was right after all.
So, shreck.. did you go upstate in the end?
