I am planning a trip and think it will be a smart idea to have my own weapon on me at all times while I am there. Okay, except when dancing at the wedding…
But I have no firearms training, but I assume under kill or be killed situations, Adrenaline is Boss.
Just wondering where I can buy firearms in Israel and if I need a license?
Thanks

Without training, and with only adrenaline leading the way, you’re probably more likely to accidentally kill someone innocent, and endanger those around you, then you are to actually protect yourself. Carry pepper spray instead.

But i anyways read up on the Law in Israel, and you must speak Hebrew, be over 27 years old, have had training in using the firearm, etc. So the pepper spray is a great idea. I will order some. Bli neder..Maybe I should practice throwing heavy rocks too.?

October 7, 2015 11:02 pm at 11:02 pm #1104745555ParticipantWhy don’t you try catching heavy rocks being hurled at you, this way you wont have to bring them with you. Just catch and throw back. (unless your in a car, of course).

The velocity of a bullet is given in feet per second (fps) in the United States. The 0.22 rimfire cartridge, which has a very small powder charge, and is one of the smallest bullets, sends its bullets on their way at between 370 m/s and 460 m/s. Cartridges in rifles — centerfire cartridges — propel their bullets at a much faster rate. The 0.220 Swift, which drives a very small bullet at over 1220 m/s, is the cartridge with the highest velocity.
Lets just say you are attacked by a gunman CHAS VISHALOM, can you run at 370 mph? Frankly your chance of staying and fighting is much higher since during the initial struggle, you may A) Overcome your attacker and save your own and other lives B) Even if the struggle is even, your still not giving the attacker an opportunity, however by running you expose your head and back… The average human can run at 15 miles an hr with adrenaline, which would take about 4.5 seconds for the attacker to comfortably aim CHAS VISHALOM…
So the correct answer is to NOT RUN EVER! Take a self defense course at least to up your chances of survival…

If you live in the Tri-State area I would recommend GUNS FOR HIRE— they teach gun safety, etc… OR youtube 🙂
Good Luck and Stay Safe

There is a Hebrew test that’s administered as part of the application; one does need to know conversational Hebrew in order to pass.
