I have noticed that I probably would have an easier time conversing (ok schmoozing) with people in my neighborhood if I knew yiddish at least as well as I knew hebrew and english. My hebrew due to lack of use has also significantly dwindled compared to how well I used to know it. My question is, where or what is the best way to learn/reinforce a language? (I want to learn yiddish and fill out my hebrew)
Thanx in advance
😀 yossi 😀
go to yiddish classes.
As in? Where would I find them? (I am in brooklyn). These classes teach the common vernacular or proper yiddish?
Yossi, maybe you could find a CD on it just like they have for other languages-you might be surprised to find one in Yiddish. I’m not sure that there is definitely one but, however it doesn’t hurt to try to find one out there. You just never know what you’ll find. Good Luck to you on your language learning mission.
