I have lots of challah left over from yom tov. Anybody have any ideas of what to do with it? Thanks!

If you didn’t do Tashlich yet, take it along!

Also you can always make a challah kugel, my wife usually makes that after Yom Tov when we have lots of left over challos. Yum, she has a most delicious recipe for that!!

if the challah is pareve you could toast it and put butter on it. Or you can toast it and have it with cheese or peanut butter and jelly. comes in handy because now the minhag is only to eat pas yisroel.

My challah was made in a fleishig oven, so can’t be used with milk products. Also chani t what’s chicken capons? How do I make that? To golden mom, how do I make stuffing with the challah?

Imaofthree: Not a Minhag. It’s very clear that there is almost no Heter to eat Pas Palter during these days.

I put my left over Challah in the freezer; there is always another Yom Tov or Shabbos around the corner.

CA – They freeze too. When I cut the Challah, I don’t cut it all up; just as I need -one at a time. If you cut the big Challah in half, it’s easier to cut and less wasting.

    Health,

But you can’t use a cut up challah for lechem mishnah which if you have lechem mishnah not going to use cut up challah

CA – You gotta do better than that. For the next Seudah you use two rolls or a smaller Challah. Waste not, Want not.

Challah pudding, there is a good recipe online just substitute the soy milk for the dairy milk. Calls for 10 cups of challah cubes (chunks), also uses apples. Delish warm or cold, all sorts of uses.

mara stuffed chicken and capons r pretty much the same u can make it alot of diffrent ways u take the challah and soak it in water till it is very mush then u squesh out all water i then add fried onions mushrooms from a can and spices u then take a chicken leg clean it and lift up the skin on one side and stuff it then u put a toping on top of the chicken like spices nothing too heavy cuz u got alot going on inside u can freeze at this point or bake

capons is like what the have at simchas u debone the leg and then stuff it `it is more work and fancier
