May 10, 2012 3:50 am at 3:50 am #872979YW BandMemberNot til after you daven Shachris tomorrow or neitz (look up in Mishna Berura).
My joke is let’s say you don’t daven Shachris, you”ll have to stay a nazir to next Lag B’aomer!
So don’t daven so late…enjoy the music once again!

It’s just a technical issue of why are you doing anything like getting a haircut before you Daven. (I know it’s Assur to get a haircut before Minchah, I don’t remember if the Poskim say that by Shacharis as well but I think so.)
May 10, 2012 5:57 am at 5:57 am #872981NechomahParticipantSam, I’m still confused. What you say Miktzas HaYom, is that in reference to “Miktzas yom k’kulo?”
If so, with what you’re saying, how can we count the day when it’s only by night? I heard that the chiluk between counting the days and the weeks is this inyan, where you can count the day when it’s only a part of the day, but that you can’t count a week until the 7th day, so that’s why we say the week only on the 7th day (night) when we count.
Can you clarify this for me.
May 10, 2012 6:20 am at 6:20 am #872982YW Moderator-42ModeratorThis has nothing to do with counting days and weeks, the minhag is 33 days of aveilus and Lag BaOmer is one of the 33 days so you need to be noheig aveilus part of the day (miktzas hayom). We do this by being noheig aveilus the entire night and then part of the day. I assume that one minute after Netz should suffice but as Sam pointed out, you can’t take a haircut before davening. I assume you can listen to music before davening though.
