Oh Bubby, that’s what I like!
(When the stuffed cabbage and matzah balls are spinning in the belly like dreidels, and the tzimmes [not sure – cooked carrots?]
and the chicken make the throat a little dry, you can drink a l’chaim until the head is in the sky. [It loses something 🙂 … ])
…zug mir (?), vi macht di zeideh
(Tell me, how’s the Zeide doing?)
No? Yeah. Yeah? No!
Takeh, er hut fahrloiren di tzein?
(Really, he lost his [false] teeth?)

(And don’t come late?)

Oy, Bubby, do you think my [junky/decrepit?] car
can drive as far as South Fallsburg that quickly?
December 15, 2015 12:45 am at 12:45 am #1148429☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲ParticipantBy the way, who can tell me what’s unique about
“The Big K’nocker” out of all of his songs?
December 15, 2015 2:43 am at 2:43 am #1148430MammeleParticipantComlink: Seems great! Don’t remember when I last heard this song but if you’re looking for the word (hope I’m spelling it right) ???????????? (as in car here) it means rusty.
And tzimmes is cooked SWEET carrots.
Great job overall, but if you’re really bored you can brush up on your Yiddish grammar…
December 15, 2015 11:46 am at 11:46 am #1148431skripkaParticipantheshy walfish?
December 16, 2015 10:20 pm at 10:20 pm #1148432☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲ParticipantMammele – Yes, that’s the word.
Skripka – No.
I forgot to mention that I don’t know how to translate “bruch.”
(Also, I think there are two “No? Yeah.”s before the “Yeah? No!”)
December 17, 2015 1:09 am at 1:09 am #1148433skripkaParticipantwhy not? which other song does he sing?
December 17, 2015 10:57 pm at 10:57 pm #1148434☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲ParticipantOh, I see what you mean now. That wasn’t what I meant,
although it might be true.
April 22, 2016 5:00 am at 5:00 am #1148435☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲ParticipantThe song’s title character is named after the original artist.
