If you moved from a smartphone to a “kosher” phone (or other such phone without internet, and even if it just has e-mail) and found that your life improved, please tell us how in this thread. If your life did not improve, also tell us why not.

    Thanks.

I switched from a smartphone which I had had for about 10 weeks back to my old kosher phone (which has texts, btw).

Side effects included compulsive hand movements towards the pocket where said phone used to be.

I spend only slightly less time online, and that time is usually spent twiddling my thumbs. Because if I’m at home, I can just go on my computer, so it is like when I’m sitting in the gate area in the airport or on a bus, etc.

My wife says not having it has made me a monster. I think that’s her way of saying she liked when I checked my email at red lights instead of making fun of the other drivers.

i used to have a regular phone. and it even had a filter. but it was possible to go around the filter. and even though i didnt do that often, sadly i did it on occasion. and those occasions had a bad effect on my neshoma.

after i got a kosher phone i no longer could cheat. and my neshoma was the better for it.
