Are there any circumstances under which it’s muttar for men to wear makeup? Consider the following situations: 1. You’re making a wedding and you have a black eye. All the photos could be Photoshopped (what about videos?) or you could wear makeup to cover the black eye.
2. You’re running for president and you’re participating in a televised debate. You look more like Nixon than Kennedy.
3. You’re a clown.
4. You’re dressing up for Purim.is it halachically not allowed for men to wear makeup? just wondering… and if the issue is because its for women, well, guess what! In our messed up day and age, there is mens makeup!

Is that all the time, or only for special situations (e.g. Purim, employment requirement)?
dovidBT- clown makeup means white face, etc. It doens’t mean foundation and lipstick. I don’t think anyone is planning on wearing clown makeup on a normal day to day event.
