April 25, 2014 9:45 pm at 9:45 pm #1030269Little FroggieMemberOy, do I have an urge to update you…
April 25, 2014 11:14 pm at 11:14 pm #1030270HaLeiViParticipantThe way it works is that what isn’t currently in the news is not on our mind. We want people to care so it has to stay in the front page. I also know about the new Dayan Emes section and yet it keeps coming up in the news again.
April 26, 2014 10:40 pm at 10:40 pm #1030271GG yekkeMemberwell what are the latest theories?
1)
the americans have a military airport on a small island in the indian ocean, where they keep B-52 bombers. apparently they shot the plane or landed the plane b/c there was:
a) a chinese scientist was on board the flight and it “wasn’t in Americas interest” that the scientist reached his destination.
b) a group of 22 Indian people from a company which deal in “making planes ‘invisible'” – (i’m not sure if this has to do with the Americans or if these indians just succeeded in their job…)
btw i didnt just make up the theory by myself, its apparently true…
Any other interesting theories???

April 27, 2014 2:53 am at 2:53 am #1030273yaakov doeParticipantI’ve heard from reliable sources that the plane was hijacked by aliens from another planet and the passengers are now undergoing alien scientific testing. I can not confirm ate accuracy of this report.
August 19, 2014 1:43 am at 1:43 am #1030274To be or not to beMemberWhat ever happened with this ? isn’t it interesting that so much has happened since then that we don’t even remember the mind-boggling idea of a huge plane disappearing and not being found?
I picture my grandchildren coming to me in a whole bunch of years saying zaidy! they found this plane! and I will be like “yeah I remember it happening” and they’ll be thinking something like “wow zaidy is old”

August 22, 2014 12:37 am at 12:37 am #1030280I. M. ShluffinParticipantMaybe cus it’s the yeshiva world coffee room, and what girls go to yeshiva nowadays?
August 22, 2014 3:09 am at 3:09 am #1030281oyyoyyoyParticipantcuz theres mostly bnei yeshiva on yeshiva world. ha.

We have a whole long thread on women getting s’micha and becoming rabbis.
We have numerous threads informing us how well women can learn and shteig.
So why can’t women be bnei yeshiva??
(Please don’t get busy with semantics and dikduk and try explaining that women are not “bnei” anything, they’re “b’nos”. I say if women are ready to pasken sheilos, to be rabbis, to study Gemara, and be the chairman of the board at their local synagogue, then it’s time to do away with all the gender discrimination in the language.)
August 29, 2014 7:10 pm at 7:10 pm #1030285oyyoyyoyParticipantHaha. But you missed my point. I was lamenting the fact that despite the names “Yeshiva World”, and “Coffee Room” (which is a play on a yeshiva coffe room where all the hock happens), this place is scarcely inhabited by bnei yeshiva. (Im not even talking about yeshivish.)

August 31, 2014 8:52 pm at 8:52 pm #1030287amaaretzParticipantDo you people even know where Malaysia is?! I sure don’t. It probably just landed THERE! Ask not “where is the plane”, rather ask: where is Malaysia??
