What are your thoughts on Lakewood’s “Master Plan”? I think it’s the worst thing Lakewood ever had to deal with. I hate it!
October 26, 2017 7:40 pm at 7:40 pm #1390704TheGoqParticipantI have no idea to what you are referring do not assume everyone has heard of what you are talking about.
October 26, 2017 8:47 pm at 8:47 pm #1390744iacisrmmaParticipantI don’t live in Lakewood so I have nothing to say.
October 26, 2017 9:42 pm at 9:42 pm #1390769chiefshmerelParticipantTheGoq, the Master Plan authorizes more building.
iacisrmma, what was the point of posting that you have nothing to say?October 26, 2017 10:11 pm at 10:11 pm #1390783JosephParticipantLakewood is growing k’h by leaps and bounds. A lot lot more buildings are needed for the booming population growth.
Baruch Hashem for the newly approved zoning allowing more needed buildings.
October 26, 2017 11:29 pm at 11:29 pm #1390799chiefshmerelParticipantJoseph, I’m opposed to it. Lakewood is congested already, and more building is just too much. I assume you don’t live in Lakewood, as the majority of Lakewood is opposed to it.
Perhaps you’re a developer, who’s coming to Lakewood just for money?

Hamodia DebateMaster Plan for Development Approved in Lakewood
By Mordechai Wincorn
“Lakewood’s planning committee voted to approve a much-debated “Master Plan” that will guide development in the rapidly growing town for the next 10 years. The plan attempts to balance the dual need for expanded housing to keep up with the rapidly expanding community as well as public demands to reduce congestion and retain aesthetic qualities of the town…” (Hamodia)
For more details on the plan, please see the article.

My thoughts exactly. I also had nothing to say, yet I didn’t feel the need to post about it.
October 30, 2017 4:10 pm at 4:10 pm #1392026iacisrmmaParticipantMy point was that “I don’t live in Lakewood”. Only those who live in Lakewood should be responding.
October 30, 2017 4:35 pm at 4:35 pm #1392032JosephParticipantPeople outside Lakewood have no right to an expressed opinion on a Lakewood public policy matter?
October 30, 2017 6:39 pm at 6:39 pm #1392089iacisrmmaParticipantSince this country was founded on “no taxation without representation”, an outsider does not have to be listened to by the elected representatives. In addition, not being a resident of Lakewood makes me far less knowledgeable on this particular plan.
October 30, 2017 7:04 pm at 7:04 pm #1392100JosephParticipantNo one has to listen but certainly anyone has a right to express an opinion.
