This year I worked as hard as ever, as any heimishe balabusta erev Pesach. On my own. Since husband works and kids are grown ….
But here we are, eating indigestible food and sitting around bored, at last, and I’m feeling very uninspired and unspiritual. Like I’m craving for it to just be over and to get back to the weekly routine of working. Lol. Like I’m not even aware that I’m craving Gaulus….well I guess I am aware, which is why I am posting this question
What is one to do? Sleep, eat, sleep, eat, wash for matzah and wash a few dishes, sleep, and eat.
Any thoughts?

Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather (at least here on the East Coast of the U.S.), visit a museum you’ve been meaning to go to during 2 years of Covid lockdown, attend one of the great Moed concerts for women advertised here on YWN and elsewhere, or perhaps find a sefer at Eichler’s (or your local Jewish book store) and take it to the local park and read. Just take some time for yourself, de-stress, do something new.

Yes Try not to troll

Along the lines of doing something for yourself and Common Saychel’s sage advice, consider using your down time to perfect your trolling skills. For example, our resident chief troll, Reb Yosef, offers a special seminar on varbeshe trolling dos and don’ts. Similar TTPs are available online.

I am at the overwhelming stage where I didn’t have a spare second for myself. I was on my feet almost all day, feeding hungry kids, playing, keeping them happy, putting them to nap, taking them on trips etc. It was so hard not to feel connected enough to Hashem and the chag of Pesach but that is because I am more spiritual personality. Each person enjoys different things – depending on personality. Some people like being more holy, others like reading, socializing, meditation as someone mentioned. Maybe now is the time to figure out what you like and do it in the spirit of Yom Tov as much as you can. I love reading so read the book “let my nation go” just for a few minutes here and there or at 1am when falling asleep in my bed really inspired me! I am still reading it and getting inspired after Yom Tov, to actually recover from all that hard work! good luck!

I love you! xxxxxxxxx -
