Good. It was operated solely for illegal purposes. And they didn’t just unilaterally black it out- they used the proper channels.

BTW: If you watch streaming videos that are being streamed illegally, it is no so pashut that you are doing anything illegal. Because you aren’t reproducing it. I am not a lawyer but I read that there was a federal case which said that you are violating the copyright when it is copied to your computer’s RAM.

So, if you are charged in federal court, YMMV (Your mileage may vary. hee hee)

How can you post the article on the main news page with the names of those low lives at the end of it. The article didn’t need that last line and it doesn’t belong on Yeshiva world news. Believe it or not there are some Jews left who don’t know who those poor excuses for human beings are. No reason to poison their minds or to make people curious enough to Google those names which will most definitely poison their neshamos!

Is it like the old Napster, etc? Then a new one will just take its place. Give it a week.

Something like that. It was a huge site where people were illegally watching and downloading things.

WIY: That sort of thing is blocked here, together with Utube, facebook, etc.

Yeah. Most internet filters block them out.

Based on the Wall Street Journal and Wikipedia, it was a site specializing in supporting distributed of “pirated” copyrighten materials. The owner apparently had a history of white collar crimes in multiple countries. Also the principal owner, a German, was living in a tremendous mansion in New Zealand when he was arrested by the New Zealand’s police. Apparently, it was a very profitable business.
