Prepared for Purim today – I drank the rubbing alcohol (pure 96%) that I keep in my shul locker for ummm…emergencies.

Drinking 96% alcohol is an old Russian tradition but pure and perfectly drinkable grain alcohol (like Everclear in the US) is only legally sold as heavily taxed rubbing alcohol in pharmacies here and in Russia.

my shobbos was great!!! i slept so many hours!!! went to bed at 8:30pm friday night, then went to shul at 9am shobbos day!!!!! slept most of shobbos till mincha!!!
asdfghjkl, i think i beat you there. slept from around 11 last night till like 1 this afternoon and then from 4 till 7.
i just got the food for the melava malka!!!!
got pizza, fries, bagel, tuna, lox, cream cheese, milshakes, oreos, pasta, ice cream, razzels!!!! enjoy everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

My rav in NY actually told me not to worry about eating melave malka because it just about causes me agmas nefesh to eat again so soon after a big Shabbos meal. Usually I just have two flatbreads and listen to some music so I am sort of yotze.
But I love it when we have a melave malka farbrengen or a sheva brochos two or three odd hours after Shabbos ends in the winter; I make sure to walk to wherever it is held so I can eat and enjoy myself.
