I had the same question when seeing a notice in this weeks Yated and HaModia? Anyone have a clue?
I may be confusing it with something else, but I think it’s a way of getting college credit for studies in seminaries in Israel (and probably yeshivas too).
Thru MJI you can get a Pell Grant.
Don’t ask whats going on. It seems Lakewood put a ad in the papers forbiodding any one to get a grant while they are learning in Israel, they even said they will not accept any bochur into Lakewood under that plan. a parent told me they are all fuming as tht is wht helps them pay tuition. Can you understand that???
