murphey’s law that this topic had to be moderated by the very strict mod72. I’ve come to the realization that mod72 takes pride in being tough and actually ENJOYS increasing his toughness as we increase our whining about it. so- i’ll stop asking, begging, pleading… and i’ll start punching, attacking…. and visit the anger management topic every 5 seconds
certain things are typed in jest and we accept that. other times the attempted humor crosses the border and the posts are either edited or deleted.
btw we do not divide the threads for moderation so whether you get the very strict mod72 or the very lenient mod72 or mod42, mod55, mod99 is all just timing. YW Moderator-72

I think that you know why I edited some of your comments – remember this rule: not everything that is typed with a smile is read with a smile even with a :o) or :} or any other variation. ok, either I’m having a senior moment and have forgotten brook requesting that position or I missed that post (There is no way that even an addict like me can make time to read every post in every thread, I usually just stick to certain threads and don’t even open the others). No I don’t expect you to call her chairman, lol.
mod72- you bring some serious de ja vu to the CR. your tone sounds too similar to some of my teachers from way back
it is very scary how things get misconstrued and misinterpreted when written instead of spoken. i really do not intend for my remarks to have a snide, negative or nasty connotation. the ppl that know me well, know how to take my comments (and what I mean when I say it). i will sincerely try to do teshuva (even though i DO re-read my posts b4 sending) and will try to delete phrases which are bound to get u ticking. but u have to admit all the juice has just run outta the CR
and one more item- i’m feeling very singled out to get a mussur shmooze. i can list a few others that can use it too (but i won’t since that will be my first violation since deciding to do teshuva)

rest assured that you are not the only one being edited / deleted. all posts go through moderation – there are NO automatics. there are posters that have never met the delete or edit button and yet we continue to read all their posts.
don’t be offended, keep posting and don’t worry if some of your posts do not make it into the thread either as submitted or in an edited version. btw If you were to start a thread about who is upset with mod72, it would probably break all records.
I’ll let you in on a little secret: way back in time, when I first started posting on the main page (long before the coffee room) I also had posts moderated out – one time I even had the editor call me out on one of my posts (no, I am not going to say what it was about). let me just say that my “facts” were in fact not facts.
ok areivim, on behalf of the YWN noderating board we’ll now come clean. You are the only poster left who is not a moderator. There are really only 5 posters here besides you, all using multiple screen names to confuse you. 4 had already been mods and now the last became mod55, so now you are indeed the only one left to single out for moderation.

Y’know, I try very hard not to ask “where’s my post” and not to try to sneak it through a second time, because I understand how it annoys you, O gracious mods. But when I am attacked and I respond with a brilliant retort, I would expect that you would replace the offending word (humil*ate) with a more acceptable one rather than just deleting me.
I have a good record, y’know. That should count for something.

Mod-42, thanks for the heartfelt compliment. I sometimes get frustrated that my words are hitting a brick wall. I am glad that somebody appreciates them.
I hadn’t been keeping up with all the recent threads, as there are so many new ones, and the number of responses has grown to over 1,000 in some, so it gets hard.
Also, I had been getting frustrated that I would debate some people on a news item or CR thread many months previously, and then all of the sudden they would bring up the same topic in a new thread and start from scratch with their position as if everything we had discussed the first time had totally been discarded. I felt like my posts were useless and not getting anywhere.
The bottom line of my whole hashkafa is that achdus is key, and we must appreciate every individual’s contribution to the klal and not be mevatel anybody. I think the current war and the Mumbai massacre has made the klal closer.
Pashuteh, everybody listens but that’s the way jewish ppl are we like arguing the same stuff over n over again stam to argue! 🙂
