I’m actually proud that I didn’t make that list that everyone is referring to (although i did find mention of me in a later post). That means I am slowly being cured of this rediculous coffee room syndrome. I am proud to say that I am totally not updated on every thread! I actually had to go back to last page to skim through to see what everyone was talking about. It’s okay, I’m sure I didn’t miss much! 🙂

Aren’t you the one who is supposed to raise my self esteem and not point out my mistakes? I think that’s squeak’s job if I ricall (JK) correctly. No, I didn’t spell that way on purpose, but I’ll have you know that last time I replaced the “i” with an “e” was this same word, so I’m not really so bad.
my niece just got a computer game to help improve her spelling and reading. should i ask her if you could borrow it? i’m sure she won’t mind…

brook, I didn’t realize that you were referring to that! That is funny. Anyway, I wasn’t really insulted, but you made it seem like I had never had kibbe because I said it came out of the oven (which it might have that time, for all I know – it was served in an aluminum pan). My point was, just because I never cooked, er, fried it, doesn’t mean I never ATE it. I thought that it less defensive to point out how you repeat yourself than to actually defend myself.

Mod-72, When Lipa first stole my screen name, I consulted with my lawyers, as I noted here on YW at the time. I asked why Lipa couldn’t have named his album SammyGol, or ILuvChulent, or Jent, or GodolHador, etc. We could have had a whole bunch of bumper stickers running around town that proclaimed I am the Godol Hador. Imagine all that Daas Torah freely available. Why did he have to pick on me?

I was actually had a debate the other day whether or not to post one squeak sent in. I decided I cannot be the sole judge as to what is or is not funny.

Granted. However, I do have 2 tiers shall we call them. In tier 1, I’ll just leave it for another moderator. In tier 2, I’ll just delete it outright.
Lets be clear. There is a difference between something I disagree with (which will go through) and something with is presented in such a way which (I feel) makes it valueless.
As an example, How many times do I allow someone (in page 5!) to jump into a proper discussion (e.g. Chalav Akum) and let them make a general blanket statement (e.g. There is no difference between Chalav Stam and Chalav Akum)[making up an example, this did not happen]? What is the value of allowing that in the middle of a well thought out, well articulated, civil disagreement?
Also, new topics are judged stricter, as I try to see, not only where it is, but where it will be going.
um…ok i guess. i was just asking, but i sort of see how something could be totally valueless in a conversation.

mod 39, I completely agree with you on the choluv akum example, its just plain stupid to do that because no one will change what theyve been doing just because a certain poster said so
well that’s how girls work, i think. if you’re doing the right thing they wanna know why you’re being such a tzaddik all the time and if you’re doing something wrong they act horrified and give you a whole shmooze from their principal. it’s all fake, but they’re really good at it. guys just shut up whatever you’re doing – whether or not they’re planning on joining in.

maybe this should be in the how to make ywn better but i was wondering if there is anyway possible to let a member know that their post has been denied because sometimes i will post something and maybe it is during a busy time or something and i will think it got deleted and il try to modify etc and post again whatever it just would remove some confusion i think

moish I understand where youre coming from but in real life (and maybe somewhat in the CR) I’m totally not like that (the being a tzaddik part) but it does get me very annoyed when people become so “tzaddiky” that they think everyone else is a complete rasha
