    Hi everyone!

I’m desperate for an idea for Mishloach Manot for my mil who lives out of town.

preferably not edible stuff, just an idea of what to send for purim. we are a young couple without children.

<if there is such a topic already, please give me the link, Thanks>

Hi goose, first of all it has to be food to be considered Mishloach Manos i believe, but if you just want to send a gift that’s fine

How much did you want to spend?

Food would be easy, just send a bunch of dietetic products.

If its to be non food, send a gift certificate for a cosmetics store and a 1 month gym membership. Let her wonder what it means……

something she can show people – cute bird’s nest chachka thing and little poem about building your nest –

dishtowel cake (see diaper cake) or al netilas yadaim towels)

useful kitchen item- little 4 section tray for sweet/low/ forks/spoons/sugar/coffee, filled with candy –

Send her all non perishable PESACH products i.e. wine/grape juice, chocolate, jellies, cocoa, anything for Pesach that can be put away, ketchup, apple juice, macaroons, KLP cakes that are out already, dried fruit. This way you don’t waste all the chometz things that are left over and not eaten and you can put everything away for Pesach I’YH.

    preferably not edible stuff

By all means, feel free to send your mother in law gifts, but if it’s not edible, it’s not mishloach manos.

The Best Bubby (I thought I was, but nevermind…) had the right idea. Only send Pesachdig non-perishables. If it is not edible as is, it is not Mishloach Manos. It’s not her birthday or Mother’s Day. Flowers are nice at those times, but do not fulfill the MM mitzvah, and unless they are meant to be eaten, make no sense, for Purim.

Hi, sweetie! it’s your mommy in law here! How ironic to find you here in the CR!

Funny you didn’t realize, but we are in need of a new chandelier in our dining room. Just trying to make the “thinking of ideas” a bit easier on you.

    We’re really looking forward!

    Thanks for everything and regards!
