My daughter is interested in learning how to play the keyboard. What would be a good keyboard for me to buy for her as a starter to learn how to play?

Why not ask her music teacher?

How much are you willing to spend and how old is your daughter? My husband, who plays piano and has his own keyboard, says that there isn’t really much of a difference between the models when you’re just starting to learn. You won’t notice or appreciate the difference unless and until she becomes really advanced.

She just turned 9, and it looks like I can get a keyboard for between $100-150, but I don’t know if those are worth anything, and what I should be looking for in features, number of keys etc…. Thank you!

LBK- you can get a decent used keyboard on ebay for the same price as a new cheap one. Those are generally better values.
