I’ve noticed on different websites that one thing that separates people is powerful opposing viewpoints like one believes in evolution and the other doesn’t and so on. We Jews can try to respectfully disagree but there is still those feelings of separation.

However, there is something that brings people together and that is music and song. For example, a kumzitz, or people singing around the Shabbos table. We’ll still have opposing views, but the music and song can hopefully make us feel more connected B’ezras Hashem

    That’s a nice thought.

You’d think someone would have made a song about it…

I think I’ll go eat my weekly bowl of couscous.

#so true! music is the language of the soul, Once in Israel I met a couple of girls from mea shearim, and we started conversing, and they invited us for shabbos…… (so typical jews!) And, I remember crying as we all sat there at shalosh seudos, girls from all over the world…. never knew each other before, but, singing the same songs!

Totally agreed. You didn’t know that next to the coffee room there is a kumzits room
