Let’s say that you were shopping for a new HVAC.
You have two comparable models in mind.
HVAC-1 makes an unpleasant noise in operation.
HVAC-2 makes a pleasant noise in operation.
Can you select and install HVAC-1 even though it makes a pleasant tune, knowing that it will be operating on Shabbos?
If you enjoy the sounds while it is in use, does that count as listening to music?

I think the Shabbos issue might be the same regardless of how pleasant (or not) the noise is. As for the question of music, the idea that the system qualifies as a musical instrument seems doubtful.
It’s forbidden to just listen to music on shabbos?
