While all of those facts are true, it’s also true that it was a great place for school supplies, for housewares, and even my microwave came from there, and it works just as well as any from a “higher end” store would.

Personally, I’ll miss them. Just like I miss Odd Lot, or maybe it was Odd Job, on 48th St. in Manhattan. I still remember getting my daughter her first cabbage patch doll there, together with a little doll stroller, all for a reasonable amount.

While I can see why the Valley Stream store, right next to Walmart would hit the skids, what about the store in FLushing? Closest thing is Amazing Savings.
