I am trying to get an internet filter service that, besides the usual features….

    1) Can filter by keywords

    2) Can block google images without blocking google search (and works with “https”)

    3) works on a Mac

    4) Can be fully controlled/settings modified remotely

    Any suggestions?

I have tried NetNanny and Covenant Eyes and neither of them meet the aforementioned criteria.

    Thanks!

Some people have suggested that I could use a filter.

I have a mac and I use K9. It fulfills all your qualifications and I think it’s great.

K9 is great and very customizable.

Try the G E filter it seems fishy at first but it works.

I just did some research and found that K9 cannot be configured or controlled from a remote location. 🙁

How about Open DNS on the router?

Also, there are services which allow remote access to the entire computer (e.g. LogMeIn). One of these should work for you with K9.
