In BP, shomrei shabbos. Just hang out outside and ask; it’s known as a ride gemach as well as a minyan factory. In flatbush, R’ Landau’s. THere is a sign up sheet in the lobby where people offering rides and people needing rides post their contact info and the date/time they’re going.

Just wanted to share that this gemach has come a long way since this article! It’s now called The Ride Shadchan and has a new number: 844-417-7210. Hundreds of people have used it to coordinate rides, and it now works for sending packages along with travelers too. The website is live at therideshadchan.com. Still free. Tizku l’mitzvos!

Best advice is Shomer Shabbos in BP, Squankum in Lakewood, 100s per week and no internet needed
