Sometimes, we walk down the road of life pretty easily. Sometimes we are faced with a fork in the road and we are faced with the decision of which road to go down. Sometimes one of the road is lit up and the answer is clear to us, other times it is a little more difficult to choose because both roads look the same. But these are the easier challenges. Then there are times when we cant even see what is in front of us because Hashem stuck a massive mountain in our path. The mountain is so high and steep, that it seems easier to just start walking around the mountain because the amount of energy it will take to climb is too exhausting to even think about. The challenge is so difficult, that you don’t want to face it at all. It would be so much easier to just avoid it at all costs.
So you start walking around the mountain, and around and around, until you realize that your not going anywhere at all. You are in the same place you started, just even more exhausted than before. You have a choice. You can stay in the same place forever, in the same matziv, or you can climb that mountain.
You realize that Hashem put that mountain in front of you, He gave you that obstacle to make you stronger, wiser, and higher than you were before. But this mountain is so steep, that you know you can’t do it alone. But there is no one else around. Its just you. And you finally remember your not alone. You call out, “RIBONO SHEL OLAM!! Look at me! I am so small! I need Your help to have strength to climb up this mountain! Please Tatte give me strength to overcome this obstacle! It is just me and You! I know I can do anything with your help, just please give me strength.” You start to climb one leg up at a time, until your climbing faster and faster, because the more trust you put in Hashem, the easier the climb is.
When you finally reach the top, you realize that your not the same person you were when you were on the ground. You not only climbed higher, but your neshama had an aliyah too! This happens to us so many times.
Never stop growing. Never give up hope. And never stop climbing
