Check out the new chovevei rabbis. The second one (only two this year?) is married to a woman with ordination from JTS.

The real question is who is the real Maharat.

Nothing wrong – neither necessarily beleive in Torah M’Sinai. Sounds like a good match.June 26, 2014 6:49 pm at 6:49 pm #1021946

It’s actually a step in the right direction, towards YCT fully admitting that it’s not Orthodox.
Popa, thanks for highlighting it.June 26, 2014 9:33 pm at 9:33 pm #1021947
Charlie consider that there may also be something wrong with the fact that you aren’t willing to acknowledge that anything can ever be wrong with anything?June 30, 2014 12:07 am at 12:07 am #1021948☕️coffee addictParticipant

I think Popa’s point is that YOU don’t pay attention to what you post. Here or elsewhere.
Frankly, I think that is very generous of Popa.June 30, 2014 12:08 pm at 12:08 pm #1021951DaMosheParticipant
pba: why do you think YCT guys think nothing is wrong with anything?
They think something is wrong with our mesorah.
They think something is wrong with those who believe Torah was given at Har Sinai.
They think something is wrong with those who don’t allow women to daven for the amud.June 30, 2014 12:45 pm at 12:45 pm #1021952

Fine, Sam, so what would you have titled the thread?June 30, 2014 5:57 pm at 5:57 pm #1021958
I wouldn’t have made a thread like this because we all know where YCT stands and those who refuse to acknowledge that are just in denial. Beating them over the head with more Conservative things they do won’t convince anyone.
Since this thread exists, though, I would recommend, First Marriage Between Two “Orthodox” Rabbis. Or something along those lines.June 30, 2014 6:58 pm at 6:58 pm #1021959bp27Participant

At least the 2 “rabbis” are of different genders. Im wonder if I ask a shailah of each, whould they agree on the answer. If the YCT grauate recognizes the ordination of a woman as a “rabbi”, isn’t something wrong the the “rabbis” that YCT is ordaining?July 2, 2014 7:37 am at 7:37 am #1021962SaysMeMember
