New Yorkers get to vote on new plates for the two-ton death machines that are constantly blocking the road. Which design do you think is best?August 20, 2019 2:05 pm at 2:05 pm #1777199IvduEsHashemBsimchaParticipant

It’s weird, the state claims they need plates with dark letters on a light background for the new toll plate readers. Yet the first option featuring the Sfachim Sr. bridge, has a darkish background! Well what can one expect from the Sfachim Jr.?August 21, 2019 1:40 pm at 1:40 pm #1777900
The yellow plates look really bad because the plate is the tooth of the car.August 21, 2019 1:40 pm at 1:40 pm #1777899

They’re all terrible, and incredibly boring. Much like New York itself.August 21, 2019 4:16 pm at 4:16 pm #1777951msrina18Participant

#5 but I like the faded backround of #3. The original blue/white before the yellow plates were the best though.August 21, 2019 7:40 pm at 7:40 pm #1778072

If you remember the packing material called excelsior, you’re old. Likewise if you remember Bullwinkle’s parody of Longfellow’s poem Excelsior.August 22, 2019 8:29 am at 8:29 am #1778209charliehallParticipant
I voted for plate 5. I loved the old plates with Niagara Falls and the NYC skyline and refused to ever get the boring plates with the orange background. I just switched to the 9/11 commemorative plates last month.August 22, 2019 10:13 am at 10:13 am #1778235klugeryidParticipant

Cuomo rigged the contest in favor of the plate design showing Cuomo Bridge. All the other designs were fairly similar to each other, with the bridge with his namesake the standout.September 10, 2019 1:01 pm at 1:01 pm #1785492devnyBlocked
RebYidd, yes I do, as I am ashamed at how the product turned out.
Seriously, the only redeeming factor in the entire state are the Adirondacks. The license plate should show a picture of the view from Indian Head Vista, but that would be a terrible idea, as it would cause all the city people to realize they have a nice place in NY, head up there, and completely trash it. As humans have done throughout history. That’s why I became a troll in the first place. Humans ruin everything. But I digress.September 17, 2019 10:35 am at 10:35 am #1787351NKChossid612Participant
