Is it just me, or is it really basically impossible to get groceries delivered? Do we want to keep spreading this? What about someone quarentined, should they not eat? Why can’t the stores get their acts together?
March 23, 2020 6:55 pm at 6:55 pm #1842284JosephParticipantMaybe use a car service or Uber to get it?
March 23, 2020 6:55 pm at 6:55 pm #1842285🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI think it’s just you.
March 23, 2020 7:26 pm at 7:26 pm #1842300GoldilocksParticipantWhere do you live?
March 23, 2020 9:18 pm at 9:18 pm #1842313☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThe stores are overwhelmed. Don’t think it’s just the Jewish stores, even Amazon is having a hard time delivering, as well as others.
In some communities, there are volunteers doing shopping for quarantined and elderly people.
March 24, 2020 3:09 am at 3:09 am #1842400🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantMaybe it’s not just you, maybe it’s your location. Baruch Hashem we have been having lots of deliveries. Our local store is doing same day shopping and delivery even though it is not usually a service of theirs. The 7-11 near us will even deliver slurpees!
March 24, 2020 11:56 am at 11:56 am #1842485☕️coffee addictParticipantYou have to realize the stores are trying to do their best with what they have
March 24, 2020 9:40 pm at 9:40 pm #1842723GadolhadorahParticipantI went to the local supermarket at about 2 AM today and the place was nearly empty. Sure, there were empty shelves in the toilet paper and soap sections but otherwise, fairly well stocked. I used the self-checkout option to avoid having to deal with cashiers and immediately wiped my hands with a wipe.
A lot easier to than last week trying to nail down a deliver time from Amazon Fresh or the delivery service of that same market.March 25, 2020 12:25 pm at 12:25 pm #1842913Reb EliezerParticipantYou might want to subscibe to instacart who shop for you in shoprite, costco or other stores.
March 26, 2020 12:24 am at 12:24 am #1843258MistykinsParticipantRemember that more people are using delivery, which is good, but it makes the delivery wait longer.
Much more importantly, the longer the virus continues, the more workers either become ill or stay home from fear/ kids/ immune issues. Now you have less people packing and delivering, and the lines get longer still.
March 29, 2020 3:03 pm at 3:03 pm #1844297Mommy10ParticipantI heard instacart might gi on strike. Maybe pay someone to shop for you.
March 29, 2020 4:33 pm at 4:33 pm #1844390JosephParticipantWhat are the differences between Instacart, Fresh Direct and Amazon Fresh?
March 29, 2020 6:10 pm at 6:10 pm #1844466yldParticipantNo idea, but going to the shop is definitely better. maybe try going to the the shop in middle of the night as somebody suggested earlier.
March 29, 2020 11:34 pm at 11:34 pm #1844566SayIDidIt™ParticipantAs of today, Sunday, March 29, 2020, all Bingo stores will remain open 24 hours until further notice.
