NYC Neighborhoods

Hi, I’m looking for a neighborhood to move to in NYC, either Manhattan or Brooklyn. I am in my middle 20s, male, single, fairly observant. I want to find a neighborhood that has other people around my age, but one that also has a community feel to it. Nothing too haredi.

Any suggestions / descriptions of what some NYC neighborhoods are like?
