Ohr Sameach fundraiser

Long time lurker, first time poster. I actually made an account just for this 🙂
Many of you have probably seen the ads for the O.S Jerusalem fundraiser starting today. You give one dollar, O.S. Gets 4. All with the aim to raise $500 000, effectively being $2 million. Many of you may have thought about donating. Some may have just brushed it off immediately.
I am a former Talmid of ohr Sameach. I come from a drum background, but needed a yeshiva that was more relaxed, more open, and yet still is chareidi. I was there for two and a half years, and can say without a doubt it changed my life in immeasurable ways. I am still incredibly close to many of the rebbeim there, and they guide me through everything. During my time there, as well as seeing the changes within myself, I was Zoche to see changes in others. People who had arrived without knowing the first thing about yiddishkeit, and are since then frum(one of these guys recently made a Siyum on shas mishnayos, along with a Chazarra program he has for it). I do not have the time, the space or the ability to write about what a difference ohr Sameach has made I. The lives of thousands upon thousands of yidden. I will not try to. Instead what I will say is this: O.S does not charge for those who are unable to pay. You have guys coming whose parents may in fact be anti their becoming religious, and are most definitely not giving them any money. O.S. Gives them food, board, and a fantastic Jewish education. The yeshiva survives almost entirely on donations. And right now they are in a terrible financial place. One of the rebbeim told me that he hasn’t been paid in over four months. The yeshiva is in one of the worst financial situations it has ever been in. Please, please please. If you are capable of donating anything, whether it’s a dollar or two, please do so. The difference every single donation makes is literally beyond words. Please, help Ohr Sameach stay running.
