Someone out there is on over-bump, bumping about thirty old threads. Just wondering if this ruins the complex internal mechanisms of the coffee room. We wouldn’t want this thing to go down, would we. There has to be some sort of rating – like how many threads per hour won’t jeopardize the system, how many threads bumped, new users (re)created… We can’t just overuse it until it fries.. Scary thought!
At times it’s useful to look back at the old threads there’s lots to understand about the nature of people & about those topics.
Just thinking, just saying, just sharing.

Whats wrong with seeing those old threads? Many of them are good threads that just died for no good reason and are begging for techiyas hameisim.
Ya, but its a litttle annoying when you see a really interesting old thread that just got bumped…..that is like 25 pages long…..
Shopping, if it’s really interesting you don’t get annoyed similar to any bookworm, if you’re getting annoyed, how interesting is it to you? Besides, you can always skip to the end, no one would really catch you cheating.
I mean its just annoying that I have to read all that interesting stuff and I cant ask anyone questiions on what they wrote or comment cuz they arent in the CR anymore….

That’s right.
i would think the two reasons for bumping a 5 year old thread would be to say something funny or insightful on the matter. this (in conformance with many of your others) was neither, so why bother?
