Yes, my sister’s home in Israel was recently burgled, despite the presence of a noisy dog. The burglars did or gave something to the dog that rendered him unable to effectively do his watchdogging duty. They did this to several homes with dogs throughout the neighborhood, dogs that normally were effective guard dogs.
