Hi, my wife is thinking of selling children’s jewelery and hair accessories to a population in Florida. Does any one have any ideas of where she can start to get items at wholesale prices. Any leads would be a big help. If any one has any other ideas of popular items to include that would be a big help. May we all be bentched with parnassah beharchava and all the other good things.

You can start by putting “wholesale jewelery” into Google.

There are great wholesale sources that you could find online- but beware of scams and only purchase from a company that has a brick and mortar store/warehouse as well. But note that in order to buy from the legitimate wholesalers you will require a valid tax id.

Daniel, My friend and I are thinking about the same thing, opening a store that sells children and teen accessories in the New York area. There is a childrens trade show coming up that I believe has products you are looking to sell let me know if you would like info about it.

Those items are available from a number of wholesalers, mostly Koreans and other Asians, who have wholesale shops below 34th St, just south of the Manhattan schmatte district and Penn Station, on Broadway, 6th Ave, maybe going to 5th ave as well.

There is a lot of competition in this market. Don’t expect a quick profit.
you could try calling stores in other states and ask them what they sell, numbers, etc. i found this very helpful when i went into the toy industry. good luck!
Everything comes out of China. Global Source is the internet site for Chinese manufacturers. I had one contact that is really from Australia that was honest. msefashions.com I don’t know if they have what you are looking for, but they were definitely the most honest from the bunch.

Had you posted this last week, you could have joined the jewelry show at the Javitz Center in N.Y.C. this week.
Try to log in and see if there are any leads there and how many days the show will be. Maybe you can still join.
