Isn’t he against all the programs that benefit Yiddin such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, Section 8, WIC?

Yaakov: No. He isn’t against those programs.

Though he is for lower taxes. And I wish he was in favor of reducing the programs you mention. This way Yidden would benefit from lower taxes.

We would benefit more from lower taxes and lower benefits than higher taxes and higher benefits.

‘Never trust a man with two first names,’ I always say.

….Well that’s not true… I never say that. ‘Never trust a politician,’ though. That I really do always say.

He does want to lessen the dependence on Medicaid which is what we need. I think he is a fantastic choice. I have heard him on the John Gambling show ( talk radio) a number of times. He is a real conservative, and from his speech today I can see that he will be able to hold his own with Obama and Biden.

Ryan is a great choice. Real conservative. He wants to fix all these programs and lower taxes. Shlishi I can’t agree with you more. The lower the taxes are, the more money people will have to create jobs, pay full tuitions, give tzedoka. Then the Yeshivos will be able to pay Rebeeim, teachers, kollel yungerleit properly, and then the less need for programs and handouts. People would much rather live off their own salaries of what Hkb’h gave them the strength to earn then to live off of Matnas Baser V’dom. The only problem with Ryan is, the Democrats will have a hay day with him throwing granny off the cliff. Why didn’t Romney take Rubio? There must be some big skeleton in his closet. Chaval

I also am wondering why not Rubio? He was an excellent choose not to mention would have helped with the Hispanic vote.

He’s in favor of fiscal responsibility, and is otherwise a moderate conservative (similar to Romney). Like Obama and Biden, and unlike Romney, he never had an honest job in his life (i.e. a career politician). Nice guy. Religious Catholic. Pro-life. Tea Party likes him.

If you feel the goal of frum political life is to get as many handouts fom the goyim, you’ll probably prefer Obama and the Democrats.

If you are concerned that printing money for unsustainable programs will undermine the economy, you’ll love him.

We just have to remember Lev Sarim B’yad Hashem. But of course we must do our Hishtadlus which of course what the gedolim have said many times that one should vote for the one who is more in step with the morals of the Torah

I can’t help thinking that Obama will win only bec he is black and he is Muslim, the blacks are a major popularity and they just vote for a black president even if he is not qualified.

And the Muslims want a Muslim in office.

I dont know how much of a shot these guys actually have!
