First, a big thank you to the moderators who cleaned up the vandalism on the CR last night.
When a participant submits a topic for moderation, the topic title appears publicly, even before the topic is approved. Unfortunately, a poster decided to abuse this last night, and there were some pretty awful words visible on the CR, which shouldn’t be the case on a frum site. I did a quick Web search for the WordPress moderation plug-in, which I assume the CR uses, and it seems like there can be a solution to this. Unfortunately, the solution would mean that pending topics and posts “disappear” until a moderator approves them.
I, for one, am willing to live with the reduction in instant gratification of knowing my posts/topics were received in order to avoid a repeat of this vandalism. Please add your voice to this thread if you agree with me!

The old site didn’t have this problem, so of course there is a solution.
I personally think this thread should be hidden too to prevent further vandalism.

You were asked to shorten your username and were given a chance to do so. When you ignored the request the posts were deleted. You then responded by posting highly inappropriate posts and offending many people. We are sorry you are hurt but we are obligated to keep these pages clean and when people don’t respond to our requests we have no other recourse.
