I went Friday, purchased some prepared foods to be eaten Motzaei Shabbos, and was disappointed.
I bought Meatloaf, Meatballs, and a package of ribs. All came to just $11, but the problem was that the meat all had a fishy smell to it.
I ate none of it.
I’ve gone on a Tuesday and Wednesday, and have had no issue with any of their prepared foods. This was a shame.
rebdoniel you should tell this to the manager there. he should give you credit for your purchases
My feeling is that the reason why a store like Glatt Mart is so much more costly than Pic n Pay is that the quality is light years ahead.
Glatt Mart, Poemgranate, Goldberg’s, Park East, Fischer Brothers and Leslie all have the best meat I’ve ever bought.
I’ve recently started shopping at Netzach on 16th Ave in B.P., owned now by Nachman Kletzky (Leiby’s father), and honestly, am extremely impressed with the cuts, quality, prices, and level of customer service.
Agree with REALIST.
Netzach on 16th Ave-
I just happened by recently. Definitely worth the trip. The cuts of meat, the cleanliness, and the prices were impressive.
If you’re in Flatbush not BP, Satmar Meats on J has beautiful roasts, clean chicken, very good service.
I also read that they do their own kashering.
The good thing about Pic n Pay, though, is that they’re beit yosef.
gourmet glatt in boro park is excellent and has good sales
