The following was sent to me, and I was asked to post it, if possible in the CR. I admit to being somewhat ignorant of the major details, but if there is a chance a Jewish woman is being treated with “overkill” by the judicial system, I want to publicize the situtation, so that those who wish to can daven for her. I do not know her or her family personally:

“Please daven for: Zeva Rochel bas Chaya – Pidyon Shvuyim

Judge Douglas Staskal criticized the head of Polynation Pictures before sentencing Wendy.

Runge has repeatedly denied doing anything criminal and professed to be a victim of malicious prosecution and misconduct by state officials. Please daven and say Tehillim for Zeva Rochel bas Chaya.

This person just spent Shabbos in our community and spoke in our shul on Motzoei Shabbos. It seems that almost every Jewish organization she ever approached for help turned her down! When our Rabbi heard about her story, and called her, and asked, “How can we help?”, she was completely surprised because no other community had done so. She spoke for about 20 minutes from about 9:10 until 9:30, and people were still in the shul talking to her close to midnight. We did record the event on video, but it is not yet available on our website. Her case is still under appeal, so we should still respect the courts as they may yet throw out the verdict against her, but she can use all the chizuk and tefillos the can get.”

She was sentenced r’l 12 months ago. Where is she now and what is the most recent status on an appeal?
