This is a brilliant article that every frum person should at least be aware of. It appears in this week’s Mishpacha Magazine.
I found that people were doing this on their own this year. Maybe it’s the recession? But people have really toned down…
ive actually seen in quite a few places, people advertising that they are collecting leftover candy/nash/junk to give to people in xxxxx (many different places).
REAL JUNK BELONGS IN THE GARBAGE!
No, it’s NOT my opinion; it’s a clear, medically-proven fact.
Artificial colors & flavors, preservatives, chemicals of every name, high fructose corn syrup, and no redeeming value to all that sugar…let me know what I neglected to mention…oh yes, that it keeps kids HAPPY (translation: quiet and out of Mommy’s shaitel).
My cleaning lady was very happy to accept a huge bag of my purim nosh. It’s good to keep the cleaning lady happy especially with Pesach coming in four weeks!
Shindy- I’m sure you can find a mossed that will put your nosh to better use. Perhaps a children’s kiruv program that needs to buy nosh anyway? They usually sell it for pesach and use it throughout the year.
